The Estates Golfing Society was formed in 1957 and aimed to promote camaraderie amongst its members in social and golfing environments. The initial founders of the Society were Sir Jack Hughes, Joe Levy, Robert Van Hee and Henry Joel who, following a Hammerson Christmas drinks party, agreed to play a four-ball at Sunningdale on New Year’s day 1957. The rest as they say is history and is recorded in the publication "The Estates Golfing Society Journey 1957-2020"
The Society continues in great health and holds five golf days during the year plus three tours to some of the country's best links golf courses.
The membership of the Society is all inclusive and continues to be confined to members of the property professions and industry.
